JUST WHEN WE THOUGHT LUIS SUAREZ WAS DONE. HE STRIKES AGAIN

Luis Suarez is never far from controversy. The Barcelona striker has largely been on his best behaviour since moving to Camp Nou last summer, but hit the headlines again for the wrong reasons after the 4-1 win over Espanyol on Wednesday.
The Uruguay striker failed to score as Barca swept aside their city rivals in the Copa del Rey clash at Camp Nou, but was involved in a dispute that led to the dismissal of Espanyol's Pape Diop, celebrated Lionel Messi's second strike in the face of goalkeeper Pau Lopez and was accused by the referee afterwards of inciting a confrontation in the tunnel.

The striker signed for Barca from Liverpool after the World Cup in 2014 and was forced to miss the first two months of his debut season at Camp Nou as he served the four-month ban for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini. He then returned to action in October that year and his conduct has been exemplary for the most part ever since.

NOW LET'S LOOK BACK AT THE LIFE AND CRIMES OF LUIZ SUAREZ

JULY 2, 2010, URUGUAY VS GHANA
In the final minute of an absorbing contest, Dominic Adiyiah looked set to make Ghana the first African nation to reach a World Cup semi-final. However, Suarez handled his effort on the line, was sent off and Asamoah Gyan missed the subsequent penalty. Suarez then embarked on wild celebrations, which left a particularly bitter taste.

NOVEMBER 20, 2010, AJAX VS PSV
The first biting incident to leave a stain on Suarez and a painful mark on an opponent. During a 0-0 draw against rivals PSV, Ajax's captain concluded an altercation with PSV midfielder Otman Bakkal by biting him on the shoulder. The Dutch FA responded with a seven-match ban and Suarez would never play an Eredivisie match again.

OCTOBER 15 2011, LIVERPOOL VS MAN UTD
Suarez did not take leaving Holland as a cue to leave controversy behind and during a typically feisty 1-1 draw between Liverpool and Manchester United he racially abused opposing defender Patrice Evra. Despite denying wrongdoing and being supported by Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish and his team-mates, Suarez was found guilty by an independent regulatory commission, banned for eight matches and fined £40,000.

APRIL 21 2013, LIVERPOOL VS CHELSEA

Suarez brought Anfield to its feet with a goal to secure a 2-2 draw deep into stoppage time against Chelsea in April 2014. Yet it was his last act of the season as a 66th-minute clash with Branislav Ivanovic once again showcased his vulgar side. A tangle between the duo in the penalty area resulted in a bite on the arm for the Serbia international. The FA served Suarez with a 10-match suspension that looked set to herald the end of his career on Merseyside.

JUNE 23 2014, ITALY VS URUGUAY
Perhaps the most damaging act of all. Suarez scored 31 goals in 2013-14 but was plastered all over the front and back pages after biting Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay's World Cup clash with Italy. The striker was subsequently banned from football for four months, and saw his debut for Barcelona delayed as a result.
